FaZe rain - An Underdog Story.

Håvard "rain" Nygaard (born August 27, 1994) is a Norwegian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player and former Counter-Strike: Source player. He currently plays for FaZe Clan as the entry-fragger. He is the longest lasting member of the lineup, having played since the team first formed under the Team Kinguin banner.

But times wasn't that easy for this guy as under kinguin he wasn't a big of a deal but played a crucial role in the team along side with maikelele, fox, aizy and jkaem as they weren't as accomplished as he is now and won few small tournaments here and there and qualified for ESL Cologne & Cluj-Napoca but unsuccessful making a dent in cs scene of that time but later on something big happened.

A group of big CALL OF DUTY youtubers and FaZe Clan team owners of that time Faze Rain,Apex,Temperrr & Banks Bought Whole Squad Of G2 Kinquin at that time along side with Robert"RobbaN" Dahlström as a coach.

Going into the first major of 2016, MLG Major Championship: Columbus, FaZe would play their first match of Group B against Spencer "Hiko" Martin's Team Liquid. The only map of the match-up would be played on Cache, with FaZe starting on the CT side. The matchup would not start well, ending the first half with a 3-12 scoreline. Though they would later gain 8 more rounds, they would eventually fall into the lower bracket, being defeated with an 11-16 score. In the lower bracket, the Europeans would be going up against Arya "arya" Hekmat's Splyce. The match went well for FaZe and they manage to win 16-3 on Inferno and with Philip "aizy" Aistrup top-fragging with an HLTV rating of 1.83. In the loser final FaZe would be against Jesper "JW" Wecksell's Fnatic. The first map was Mirage and Fnatic took the first half ending 10-5. The second half was close but Fnatic manage to win the first map 16-10. On the next map Cobblestone Fnatic was still dominant and won the first half with 10-5. Faze never got a got a chance to come back and lost the second map 16-6 and they were out of the tournament.

But that didn't stop them After Mikail "Maikelele" Bill announcement FaZe started to search for a replacement and only three days before DreamHack Masters Malmö FaZe acquires French player Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey from Team EnVyUs. At DreamHack Masters Malmö they would start in Group D with teams Virtus.pro, Tempo Storm, and Team EnVyUs. FaZe would play their first match against Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski's Virtus.pro. FaZe lost the first match 16-8 on Train and were heading to play the loser match against Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey's former team, Team EnVyUs, with Timothée "DEVIL" Démolon filling the opponents final spot on the roster. The match was very close on Cache and FaZe manage to win the first half 9-6. But in the second half FaZe started to struggle and Team EnVyUs manage to win the match 12-16, marking an earning of $2,000 as well as another group stage exit for the team.

Later On Philip "aizy" Aistrup 's departure to North, FaZe were able to strengthen their team even more by buying out one of the biggest stars in CS:GO—Nikola "NiKo" Kovač from mousesports. The implementation of the Bosnian star proved to be successful, as FaZe were able to reach the finals of IEM Katowice 2017 and win the StarSeries Season 3 finals.

This win provided confidence that was required by the FaZe rain and even with the inclusion of several top stars in the same team rain never gave up and stayed consistent throughout all the majors and minor tournaments and even giving run for their money to other top stars in the team and even won MVP several times in the team but everything kind of stopped for FaZe as a team when they entered PGL Krakow Major 2017 but i think that major was a fluke in itself and wasn't well prepared as the only single good team to reach semi-finals was Astralis and later on Gambit end up winning a major that was supposed to even ever happen.

Following the team's stunning elimination at the Major, the team bought out the contract of Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács from Natus Vincere to replace Aleksi "allu" Jalli as their new AWPer. Also following the major, Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey was replaced by former world number one, Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer.

And Rest I Think Is A history As FaZe rain still is dominating the tournaments with his team and won ESL NEW YORK And ELEAGUE 2017 Back to back and standing at second place at IEM Oakland. FaZe as a team is not well respected cause of their strategy of buying players but we should keep in mind that even with that FaZe rain is one of the few underdogs who came above the pros in several occasions and performed when times were rough for the team and stayed with the team since formation and should be well respected in the community as a legend in few coming years.

FaZe Up!!

Post Optic India Debacle?

Did i took really long to write about this? I don't think so i didn't want to say anything regarding this whole statement cause i was waiting  for things to calm down and just be stable enough in the scene while anger in nations fans calms down.  In this particular article i just would like to talk about what happened to the team since the whole extermelands, 2018 incident and competitive ban on  Nikhil “forsaken” Kumawat. I would like to focus on the future and not like to talk about the whole incident as it's probably already done by many all over the world. Sabyasachi "antidote" Bose to 2ez Gaming. Since the whole Optic India team was released and everyone became a free agent it wasn't long enough before other indian/asians organisations took interests in the talented lineup which had done a lot more in small time frame while they had their own sort of biggest controversy ever in not only indian but the whole SEA scene to be honest. While th

100 Thieves Out Of Eleague Atlanta 2018 Major!!

100Thieves will not be attending the ELEAGUE Major due to encountering "immigration issues", the team has just announced on Twitter. ELEAGUE have yet to comment on the matter, although it is expected that 100 Thieves' slot will be allocated to the Main Qualifier, in which case it would produce nine teams as opposed to eight for the next stage. UPDATE: ELEAGUE have confirmed that 100 Thieves' slot will go to one of the three teams going 2-3 in the Swiss round, who will then play deciding matches to determine the ninth team advancing to the Major's group stage (New Legends stage). We are disappointed to share that due to immigration issues, the 100 Thieves CS:GO team will not be attending the upcoming Boston major. It goes without saying that this is devastating for the players and for us. We are truly sorry for them and their fans. — 100 Thieves (@100Thieves) January 13, 2018 We worked incredibly hard with industry-leading immigration lawyers sin

Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu, One Who Still Deserves A Chance?

"Master of bullshit tactics AKA peacemaker" Firstly, I just want to make this clear i will try to be as neutral as i can even though how much i may dislike this personality and kindly just focus on his work as a coach through his career since January 2016. Even though how many teams and controversies he has dealt with, we shall all least respect his work with all teams and appreciate help he may have provided to needed player. Carrer in Numbers. 1. Brazil Start (Jan-May 2016) Well in short tenure of 2 and a half esports years, Peacemaker definitely has made his mark in the game. He started with Fallen's Gamer Academy as a coach until he was replaced after MLG Columbus 2016 Major Qualifiers. Later on he joined sides of his former team Gamers Academy but this time with new faces and talents from developing brazilian scene now who are known as former "Luminosity Boys" in team Tempo Storm and in short team of 3 months notable standings of this team
