Up-Up & Down-Down Of Space Soldiers!

Space Soldier's Story can best be described as an uphill battle for a regional team trying to accomplish everything that was never expected and yet never given. Originating from a middle-eastern country of Turkey, Space soldiers were almost cut out from EU CSGO Scene and due to the very small regional scene in middle-east they weren't able to always show up their worth and since there formation and first real CS:GO rooster in 2015. It was just hard struggle and series of rooster change and 3 Hard Years till they had their first real international success. Let's see how i will try to explain everything, Hope i didn't mess this is up and be able to properly describe this whole situation as i will try to focus on their breakout during year 2018.

Series Of Qualifiers and Small Success During 2017.

The year started pretty strong with space soldiers placing #4 in WESG World 2016 which was a 800,000$ Prize Pool Tournament and Even if there wasn't much stable national teams talent wise and rooster wise yet this standing i suppose this helped them build up confidence and international experience in broad ways which helped them shape their future in coming years.
They also end up winning several tier 3-4 tournaments like Binary Dragons csgopolygon - Season 1, GeForce Cup 2017 &  ESEA Season 25: Global Challenge. Other very good things which happened in 2017 was a series of Qualifiers after Qualifiers which they took part in which helped them shape up for future 2018 tournaments some namely being ESL One: Cologne 2017 - EU Closed Qualifier, DreamHack Montreal 2017: EU Closed Qualifier, EPICENTER 2017 - Europe Open Qualifier #1, StarLadder i-League Invitational #2: Europe Qualifier & WESG 2017 Europe Finals.
To put 2017 in perspective this was a very developmental year for the Space Soldiers and it did help them shape up their whole coming year.

A Bitter Sweet Pill 2018.

1. Going To Big Leagues! A MAJOR DREAM.

The start of 2017 wasn't to say ideal for space soldiers the year started with them going to tournaments which they qualified for in end of year 2017 few of them being StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 4 - Europe, DreamHack Masters Marseille 2018, ESL Pro League Season 7 - Finals &  ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 but eventually not going far throughout the playoffs standing around 5-12th Placements.
In the start of the year when major cycle began during European minor this year space soldiers were able to defeat the likes of Team EnvyUS, Godsent, Optic Gaming, AGO & Others to stand #1 team from european minor and getting a spot to play in ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018 Challengers Stage 3-1 And Later qualifying for legends stage but eventually not making to playoffs due 2-3 loss. But this run was pretty confidence building up for them as this give them international exposure that they never had before also it did cement their name as really upcoming European team.

2. A Surprise 300,000$ WESG 2nd Place Win!

For space soldiers this wasn't first time in WESG circuit they have performed really well last year standing 4th-8th in that event. After Standing 3rd in European WESG Qualifiers and eventually dropping off by Team Ukraine consisting likes of S1mple & flamie and which places 1st during qualifiers it seem eventual that some new team may shine this time in such a big circuit of WESG.
In Group 1 Stage they were placed to be said in pretty easy group and they swept this stage with easy 3-0 (48-28 round-wise) and easily qualified for Group 2 Stage which can be said to be mixed as they had teams such as Brazilian Team One, Australian ORDER & SA Bravado Gaming. And even this stage they eased past everyone with 2-1-0 Record (91-64 round-wise)
Eventually the playoffs begin and in first match-up they faced Swedish GODSENT which they defeated 2-0 and then they faced Dosia's Team Russia which again they manage to ease past with 2-0 scoreline and thus cementing their legacy and guaranteed least 300,000$ Prize Pool.
In Finals they went against Golden lead Fnatic which even after hard fought game they lost 1-2 and even though Fnatic won 800,000$ Prize Pool but for a small regional team like Space Soldiers This 300,000$ become their biggest prize pool they ever won in any international tournament.

3. A Recent Downward Spiral.

Since last few months even after a small success at DreamHack Open Austin 2018, as of whole it has been a pretty steep fall for Space Soldiers as even tho they qualified/Invited to Tier 1 Tournaments yet they were unable to prove their actual dominance or least to say standing in any events they usually stand 4th-12th in last 5-6 Tournaments except Austin. And even tho earlier they were used to be always qualified team in EU region for all tournaments to due to out pour of talent in EU circuit right now and lot of incoming teams they aren't even were able to qualify to events such as IEM Chicago, Star Series S6 and DHMasters Stockholm. And even after finally being invited to ESL One Belo Horizonte they places 5th-6th which never the fact considering the talent pool was good enough but not enough to make name for yourself at level they're trying to make up to now.

To Summarise!

As most of your would expect me to go straight and shit talk on my boys over here but trust me or if your don't just trust the statistics as they never lie. So even after not very good standings lately space soldiers are able to defeat several good teams or least go feet to feet with top level teams and even being indigenous to their own nation of Turkey. They are actually a really talented team and hopefully they keep their actual grind on and in few upcoming months were able to prove what they are made of and don't forget they still have their Challengers Major Spot at FACEIt Major London 2018. Except good things in upcoming months from my boys.

Post Optic India Debacle?

Did i took really long to write about this? I don't think so i didn't want to say anything regarding this whole statement cause i was waiting  for things to calm down and just be stable enough in the scene while anger in nations fans calms down.  In this particular article i just would like to talk about what happened to the team since the whole extermelands, 2018 incident and competitive ban on  Nikhil “forsaken” Kumawat. I would like to focus on the future and not like to talk about the whole incident as it's probably already done by many all over the world. Sabyasachi "antidote" Bose to 2ez Gaming. Since the whole Optic India team was released and everyone became a free agent it wasn't long enough before other indian/asians organisations took interests in the talented lineup which had done a lot more in small time frame while they had their own sort of biggest controversy ever in not only indian but the whole SEA scene to be honest. While th

100 Thieves Out Of Eleague Atlanta 2018 Major!!

100Thieves will not be attending the ELEAGUE Major due to encountering "immigration issues", the team has just announced on Twitter. ELEAGUE have yet to comment on the matter, although it is expected that 100 Thieves' slot will be allocated to the Main Qualifier, in which case it would produce nine teams as opposed to eight for the next stage. UPDATE: ELEAGUE have confirmed that 100 Thieves' slot will go to one of the three teams going 2-3 in the Swiss round, who will then play deciding matches to determine the ninth team advancing to the Major's group stage (New Legends stage). We are disappointed to share that due to immigration issues, the 100 Thieves CS:GO team will not be attending the upcoming Boston major. It goes without saying that this is devastating for the players and for us. We are truly sorry for them and their fans. — 100 Thieves (@100Thieves) January 13, 2018 We worked incredibly hard with industry-leading immigration lawyers sin

Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu, One Who Still Deserves A Chance?

"Master of bullshit tactics AKA peacemaker" Firstly, I just want to make this clear i will try to be as neutral as i can even though how much i may dislike this personality and kindly just focus on his work as a coach through his career since January 2016. Even though how many teams and controversies he has dealt with, we shall all least respect his work with all teams and appreciate help he may have provided to needed player. Carrer in Numbers. 1. Brazil Start (Jan-May 2016) Well in short tenure of 2 and a half esports years, Peacemaker definitely has made his mark in the game. He started with Fallen's Gamer Academy as a coach until he was replaced after MLG Columbus 2016 Major Qualifiers. Later on he joined sides of his former team Gamers Academy but this time with new faces and talents from developing brazilian scene now who are known as former "Luminosity Boys" in team Tempo Storm and in short team of 3 months notable standings of this team
